I am committed to providing you skilled and insightful therapy services that come from a foundation of acceptance and compassion in order to support you in making the positive changes you are seeking for your relationship, for yourself, or in your recovery.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have 10 years of experience working in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings and have been in private practice for the last 4 years. I approach my work with compassion and sensitivity and work with people to help them build upon their strengths, gain clarity and a better understanding of themselves, and learn skills helpful in improving the quality of their life. I integrate a variety of treatment approaches and combine creativity with my knowledge base to find what ultimately works best to fit the needs of each person with whom I work. I support people in finding their power for change.
Additionally, I have served as a Clinical Director of two different agencies-one agency specializing in working with adults and adolescents working through substance abuse, domestic violence, and involvement with the legal system or Child Protective Services, and another agency specializing in working with adolescents and adults seeking treatment for an eating disorder. As part of these positions as Clinical Director, I have supervised clinicians in the field for their professional development and work toward independent licensure, provided clinical trainings, and been responsible for oversight of program operations.
I have received training in EMDR for treating trauma and have also used EMDR as part of my work with individuals working through an eating disorder and have received training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which is specific to working with couples and work with couples from a framework grounded in this approach.
